How's it going neighbors, this is Ed with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Thule ladder rack system, on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. So the rack itself is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, and it's powder coated, that's gonna hold up against the elements and protects you against corrosion. As far as the capacity, it's a whopping 800 pounds, so that's a lotta weight that you can put on the track rack system. You have included load stops, that are adjustable, to slide over to lock down your loads. And also, something I thought was cool about their load stops, at the very top, you have a tie-down point. The bar itself is 65 inches across, it's four inches wide and an inch and a half thick. more

You might wanna use a ladder rack system like this in the event that you do have some longer loads like the ladder that we have loaded up here. Obviously as you can see, if we we're to try to put that in the bed, it wouldn't fit completely. So it's a way to get some longer things like ladders, maybe some lumber, or on the sports and rec side, if you wanna get a kayak up there and not have it take up the entire bed or hang off, have it secured down. Today we have a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2,500 HD and we're enabling it to do a lot more with the Yakima OutPost Ladder Rack. One thing that Yakima wins overall when it comes to ladder racks are the bar sizes. So with these we can use a bunch of different types of accessories and they work because these cross bars aren't that big. The Thule options, sometimes those bars get a little too big so you wrap around or your clamp on accessories don't really wanna work. But any type of wraparound accessory like this with the steel bands that are coated in rubber will work. And then over here with our tent the clamp on style also works. more

Today we are enabling our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado to do a little bit more with the Malone TradeSport ladder rack. The truck bed ladder rack being in the bed of the truck makes it super easy to tie your stuff down. As you guys can see here, we have one at the lowest setting and one at the highest setting. The highest settings is going to be about 30 inches off the rails of the bed of your truck. And the lowest setting is going to be about 19 inches from this point all the way to the top of the bar. The bars we have here are the HD Bars, so they are relatively thick. more

Colin: Hey everyone, it's Colin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, and we're going to be doing a test fit of the Erickson truck bed ladder rack.Now as you can see, we've got it installed, we have the ladder up top right now. And having a ladder rack on your Silverado is just going to help our for getting those elongated loads over the cab of your Silverado, whether it's a ladder, maybe some lumber, some pipes. On the weekends, you can use it for kayaks or paddle boards so you don't have to try to get them in the bed of your truck and have them hanging out the back side.Now with this ladder rack, you're really getting a lot of value out of it. It's a nice and economical choice, but it's also heavy duty. So we have an 800-pound weight capacity with this ladder rack, we're going to be able to get a ton of stuff on top of it, get it secured, and that's going to help free up space inside the bed for other equipment like tools, compressors, stuff like that, and it's also going to be lightweight. So we're looking at an all aluminum construction with this, you're not adding a ton of weight to the bed of your pickup when it's empty.Now, each of these crossbars is going to have two load stops. more

So this TracRac system is going to be very, very convenient to get all your stuff nice and organized. I like to keep my bed of my truck pretty much clear most of the time but a lot of the times I drive around with a ladder, maybe even a kayak when I'm going kayaking and to keep that up top and maybe keep some of my other gear in the bed of the truck is ideal, this TracRac is going to allow you to do that.Thule did keep in mind that you want to protect your truck so what they did was they threw in these little rubber pieces right here and that's going to protect your bed rails from getting scratches or abrasions. Also, it is a very, very nice design. It's got a very sturdy structure with a nice powder coated finish so it's going to resist against rust and corrosion. more

Today in our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LDwe're gonna be doing a test fit on the Thule TracRac TracONE truck bed ladder rack part number TH27000XTB. And this also does come in silver under part number TH27000XT.Now this ladder rack is great tool to use for getting stuff out of the bed of your pickup and hauling it over top. The weight capacity for this is 800 lbs, which is a pretty substantial amount to put on top of a non permanent ladder rack setup. And it also works out great for elongated items such as ladders or lumber so you can haul it and extend it over the cab of your pickup.Each top of the cross bar is gonna have these load stops. To activate them all you gotta do is loosen up this hand knob and then you can adjust it along inside the track to wherever your load might be and then you just tighten it back down like that.Now each cross bar is gonna be held in by four different clamps, we'll show you what they look like right here. The clams come on top in this little track right here and they come under your bed rail to clamp down. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Xporter Pro adjustable height ladder rack, part number TH500xt.Now this ladder rack is very useful for carrying elongated loads above the bed of your pickup without having to open up your tailgate and let it hang out. It's also going to free up space on the inside of your bed for other tools or gear, whatever you might have.You can also extend it above your cab a good amount, to carry those very long ladders, or lumber, anything like that. We also have these load stops that are in the T-tracks on top of the crossbars. All you've got to do is loosen up these hand knobs, and you can adjust the load stop to kind of sandwich your load between the two and then tighten it back down.Like I said, they do work in these T-channels. That's also going to let you know that you can utilize any type of carrier, such as a kayak carrier on top of our crossbars. If you have the type where it straps around your crossbar, you might need to pick up an adaptor kit due to the thickness of these crossbars, they're a little bit thicker than your traditional Thule AeroBlade roof rack system.The height of these crossbars is adjustable. more

Here's what our ladder rack looks like on our truck. It's designed to carry ladders or either large equipment that you can't fit into the bed of your truck. It features an aerodynamic design, and the elliptical crossbars are going to cut down a lot of the wind noise and drag that are commonly associated with ladder racks. It also has an 800 pound weight capacity. It also comes with four tie-downs that are fully adjustable in our T-track here, simply loosen them up by turning them to the left, and then we can slide our tie-down anywhere along our track, and then to lock it down, simply tighten it down by turning it to the right. more

It'll also allow you to carry extra long items, such as ladders or lumber, and for recreational purposes, you can throw up a kayak. Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Over-the-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Part Number EN07707. This Over-the-Cab Ladder Rack is going to let you carry some of the longest items such as ladders, pipes and lumber.This over-the-cab extension is going to be one of the longest on the market, adding about 56" from the bed rail to the over-the-cab rail. The middle rail on the over-the-cab extension can be adjusted to accommodate various loads by loosening the bolts on each side and sliding it forward or backward.Now we can have smaller cargo here in the rear such as bags or coolers and strap them down and we still have room in the front for other accessories, or we could slide the rail forward and put those items up there and still have room for ladders and other things here in the back. The raised side rails provide extra support and also act as a load stop to prevent cargo from sliding off the edge of your ladder rack. The side rails can also be used as a tie down point, as well as the hooks here, here and here located on each leg.When you're ready to load it up the side rails will help you get that extra leverage you need to get your heavier, longer cargo up there. They can also be used as a handle to easily get into the back of your truck bed. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we'll be taking a look at and showing how to install the TracRac TracONE truck bed ladder rack, part number TA27000-01.The ladder rack is going to allow you to carry lumber, ladders, and extra-long gear on your truck. The ladder rack is going to have an aerodynamic shape which will help to reduce wind noise and drag. In the top we're also going to have a channel. This will be great for channel-mounted accessories like bike racks, kayak carriers. We also have the tie down points that are included, and are adjustable down the length of our weather channel.The width of the TracRac TracONE ladder rack is adjustable by undoing our two bolts on either side of our leg. We can use the same tool to tighten everything down, to loosen these up, and adjust it. more
